There was so much to talk about when Kim Kardashian West and Kanye West hit the red carpet at the MTV VMAs Sunday night. And then — record scratch — was that an enormous new rock she was flaunting on her left ring finger? Yep, a source says: “Kanye surprised her with a new ring. Kim couldn’t believe it. It’s even more stunning than her engagement ring if that’s possible.”

To the untrained eye, it might appear that Kardashian is wearing the 15-carat Lorraine Schwartz stunner that Kanye West famously proposed with at San Francisco’s AT&T Stadium. And there’s no doubt, it occupies a similar amount of real estate on her finger and has a similar vibe (the vibe being, absurdly large).
